FAQs

FAQQ. Why support CCP?

A. It’s all about People; real children, real teenagers, real families, real adults. People affected by disadvantage and born into disadvantage.

People in need of help to change their lives for the better.

People with complex interlinked problems that cannot be solved in isolation.

Think people don’t have multiple complex problems in today’s society? Read these real-life case studies and think again

At CCP, we respond to personal and family crises by examining all of the interlinked problems and designing a complete holistic package of support tailored to the needs of each and every person.

Of course, Prevention is better than cure.....

That’s why so much of our effort goes into identifying and preventing the situations that will lead to future disadvantage, particularly in cases where children and young people will be adversely affected by the actions of their parents.

Q. CCP has £1.2m income. My £20 won’t make a difference?

A. Every pound makes a difference. Most of our services started as small pilot projects which received no significant funding for the first years of operation. A steady stream of small donations can grow into the size of fund which is essential to start and run a pilot project. It is only after such projects have been established for some time that they can attract significant government funding for their longer term running costs. Without small donations, we are unable to innovate and respond rapidly to newly identified need.
